R U OK?

As you are probably aware today is R U Ok? Day. R U Ok is a harm prevention charity that encourages people to stay connected and have conversations that can help others through difficult times in their lives. It is all about raising awareness to look out for each other, in a caring and supportive way.

At LJPS as educators we checked on each other, Kellie and Monique brought in some feel good treats. We all dressed or wore something yellow. Most importantly we tried to acknowledge this day with our community. We wrapped our “Blue Tree” in yellow streamers, put yellow streamers through our garden, passed out Blue Tree project bags to our community and placed signs in our front garden to ask our community if they are ok? What a heart warming experience it was to hear back from some community members about how much this gesture meant to them and how it made them feel.

So know, today and everyday we are always thinking of our LJPS community and we always want to know how you are. R u ok?
