Last week at Preschool we explored sensory play, resources to use for tactile sensory play are unlimited however we used shaving cream. Shaving cream can be easily used at home, as all you have to do is add a tiny bit of foodcolouring to the cream. If you have no food colouring at home its perfect as it is and looks like fluffy clouds.
Children can express their feelings through sensory play and at this time this is so important, to get them to verbally communicate about “how they are feeling”. It is also a wonderful calming exercise to calm our bodies and emotions if we are feeling stressed or overwhelmed. We hope you enjoy playing in it as much as we did at Preschool !
